A couple of hundred Amazon.com Inc. workers walked off the job Wednesday to protest the corporate’s return-to-work insurance policies, influence on the local weather and deepest-ever spherical of layoffs.
The protest, organized by Amazon Employees for Climate Justice and Amazon’s Remote Advocacy group, befell on the firm’s Seattle headquarters through the lunch hour.
The employees gathered below leaden skies close to the Spheres, the plant-filled orbs on the coronary heart of the company campus, brandishing indicators saying, “Hell no, RTO!” and “Listen to your employees. Stop greenwashing.”
The teams stated virtually 2,000 employees globally pledged to be a part of the walkout, a small fraction of the corporate’s greater than 300,000 company personnel.
